Ankle Conditions
Ankle Conditions
The ankle is the joint connecting the foot with the leg and it is made up of three bones: Tibia, Fibula and Talus. The ankle allows us to move our foot up-and-down and the Subtalar joint, which sits directly below the ankle joint, allows to the foot to move from side-to-side. There are numerous ligaments surrounding the inside and outside of the ankle which bind the bones of the leg to those of the foot. Certain movements of the ankle can cause these ligaments to become stressed, they can become sprained.
